The palace has four floors; the ground floor is currently the meeting and games area, there are eight rooms, a wine cellar and service rooms as well as a kitchen and a garage with room for three cars.
The first floor, which was traditionally the noble area, has a large hallway, a living room, dining room and a very large rustic kitchen. There are four/six very large bedrooms with striking wallpaper, and four bathrooms in perfect working order.
The second floor has several rooms, two bathrooms and a large living room
The third floor is a light attic with splendid oak beams and a library of books along the walls. The room is welcoming and cosy but also spacious and weddings, seating hundreds of guests, have been held there. The house is being sold totally furnished.
The palace measures 1,600m2 and the garden and park a further 10,000m2. In the grounds are enormous, ancient trees and part of the left wing of the building was the guards’ house.
The area is incredibly beautiful with clean fresh air and a magnificent climate in summer. The palace is just 40km from Bilbao, which has an international airport, along good roads, although the property is actually in the province of Burgos which is 100km away. Madrid is 330km and the motorway running along the north coast means that Casto-Urdiales, Laredo, Santander and San Sebastian are all just over an hour by car.
